How To Know For Sure

Did you TRULY give TOTAL CONTROL of your life to Jesus Christ?

Revelation 3:20 Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me (NIV).

This verse pictures Jesus standing outside the church at Laodicea and knocking at its door to be welcomed and admitted into the church. He does not force himself upon the church, but patiently waits to be invited in

Luke 24:28-32 relates that Jesus and two of His followers were walking to Emmaus, where the two lived. When they reached Emmaus that evening, Jesus acted as if He were going further, but the two followers of Jesus urged Him to stay with them.

Having received their invitation, Jesus entered their home.

If the church at Laodicea had invited Jesus to enter, undoubtedly He would have entered the church, but the church did not invite Him in. So Jesus looked for an invitation from any responsive individual.

According to Revelation 3:20
Jesus is now a Part of Your Life.

The Bible Promises "Eternal Life"
to All Who Receive Christ

1 John 5:11-13 God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has the life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have the life.

These things I have written to you who believe in the
name of the Son of God, in order that
You May KNOW That You Have Eternal Life.

This makes it very clear that if you confessed with your heart to Jesus, and received Him as your personal Lord and Savior, you are assured of going to Heaven when you die.

URGENT: You MUST Note the Following

It's very important to understand that saying a prayer is not what saves you. There are many people who have said a prayer with the intention of salvation, but are not truly saved.

You will see that all scriptures on salvation say that we must make Jesus our personal "Lord and Savior".
Note, Lord comes before Savior. This means that Lordship comes before Salvation.

Romans 10:9-10 If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.

Note, Lord comes before Savior. This means that Lordship comes before Salvation.

There is NO Salvation Without Giving Your Heart to Jesus as Lord.

Read the following Scriptures very carefully.

Luke 13: 2-3 Jesus replied to them, “Do you think that these Galileans were worse sinners than all other Galileans because they have suffered in this way?

I tell you, no; but unless you repent [change your old way of thinking, turn from your sinful way
and live changed lives], you will all likewise perish
.(AMP)

Luke 13:22-28 And someone asked Him, “Lord, will only a few be saved [from the penalties of the last judgment]?” And He said to them, “Strive to enter through the narrow door [force aside unbelief and the attractions of sin]; for many, I tell you, will try to enter [by their own works] and will not be able. Once the head of the house gets up and closes the door, and you begin to stand outside and knock on the door [again and again], saying, ‘Lord, open to us!’ then He will answer you, ‘I do not know where you are from [for you are not of My household].’

Then you will begin to say, ‘We ate and drank in Your presence, and You taught in our streets’;

but He will say to you, ‘I do not know where you are from; DEPART FROM ME, ALL YOU EVILDOERS!’ In that place there will be weeping [in sorrow and pain] and grinding of teeth [in distress and anger] when you see Abraham and Isaac and Jacob and all the prophets in the kingdom of God, but yourselves being thrown out and driven away. (AMP)

Matthew 7: 21-23 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven. Many will say to Me on that day [when I judge them],

‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, and driven out demons in Your name,
and done many miracles in Your name?’

And then I will declare to them publicly, ‘I never knew you; DEPART FROM ME [you are banished from My presence], YOU WHO ACT WICKEDLY [disregarding My commands].’ (AMP)

These verses explain that many will think they are saved (but are not a part of the Kingdom of God - His Household - His Presence). They may have said a prayer and believed in their heart for salvation, but

.

Saying a prayer similar to the one on the previous page is a great place to start. However there must be evidence of a truly changed life (being changed by the Lordship of Jeses reigning over you), for the assurance of salvation and eternal life.

2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. (NIV)

True Lordship and Salvation will start to change you from the inside out. Your old way of living will start to change and align with the way God wants you to live (a new creation according to His will for your new life in Christ).

Phillipians 2:12-15 Therefore, my dear friends... —continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill His good purpose. Do everything without grumbling or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, “children of God without fault in a warped and crooked generation.”

True Lordship and Salvation will start to produce "Good Works" such as prayer, worship, church services, giving of your time and resources, showing compassion and love for others etc... etc...

Keep in mind these works do NOT produce salvation (remember Ephesians 2:18 - salvation is NOT by works).
A truly saves person will produce Good Works BECAUSE of their salvation .

If you have truly given your life over to Christ as your Lord and Savior
You should begin to see Changes in your life that are starting to
produce Obedience to God's Word !!!

Have You Received Christ as your Lord and Savior :

The moment that you received Christ by Faith, as an act of the will, many things happened, including the following:

* Christ came into your life * Colossians 1:27 - To them God has chosen to make known... the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory (NIV).

* Your sins were forgiven * Colossians 1:13-14 - For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son He loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins (NIV).

* You became a child of God * John 1:12 - Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God (NIV).

* You received eternal life * John 5:24 - Very truly I tell you, whoever hears my Word and believes Him who sent Me has eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over from death to life (NIV).

These are just a few of the Great and Precious promises that God reveals in His Word.

Jesus is LORD (First) -- SAVIOR (Second) -- and Evidence of a CHANGED Life (Third)

This is what gives you the ASSURANCE of Eternal
Life in God's Presence in Heaven. 1 John 5:11-13.
