The Right Attitude

Romans 12:2 - Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. NIV

All Christians are called by God to be transformed. We should no longer be conformed to the ways of this world. As a part of the church of Jesus Christ, we need to be counter-cultural.

The Importance of ATTITUDE...

If we are to renew our mind, we must change the way we think. However, having the right attitude will play a significant role in our success.

Proverbs 23:7 - say's... for as a man thinks in his heart, so is he. (so does he become)...

Your thoughts are the forerunner of your actions. This means that you will move in the direction of your thoughts. And it is your attitude that will determine your thoughts.

Your attitude produces your thoughts
Your thoughts produce your actions
Your actions produce habits
And your habits will shape your destiny…

It ALL starts with your attitude. And you have the choice - everyday - what attitude you will embrace for that day.

Philippinas 2:5 - Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus:

Ephesians 4:23 - say’s that - We are to be made new in the attitude of our minds;

Charles Swindoll wrote this about ATTITUDE…

“The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of ATTITUDE on life. Attitude - is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than successes, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill.

It will make or break a person, a company, a church, an organization, a home. The remarkable thing is WE have a CHOICE every day regarding the ATTITUDE we will embrace for that day. We cannot change the past, we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable.

The ONLY thing we CAN do - is play on the one string we have; and that is our ATTITUDE… I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me - and 90% HOW I REACT to it…”
