As all around us moves along
And changes have their say
And friends and family leave us
And new ones come to stay
As the good and the evil quarrel
And love and hurt collide
And sadness clouds the happiness
And pain is felt inside
As the feelings and the senses reel
And the souls are not content
And the minds fill with confusion
And the hearts are in torment
As the sands of time drift endlessly
And night flows in to day
And the sun and moon swap places
And the seasons go their way
As the veil of time is drawn around
And the misty visions clear
And the scars so deep begin to heal
And the fond memories appear
As new peace arrives to take all charge
And love can find a part
And dreams of those so precious come
And we hold them in our heart
